RECREATIONAL PROGRAM

BEGINNER CLASS

The program is designed to be a fun learning experience, with basic introduction to creative movement and apparatus, and is available to children starting at 4 years of age. In the beginner program, we work on gaining and enhancing flexibility and strength, on acquiring and improving body skills, coordination, and learning very basic ballet steps and movements, with basic apparatus handling (rope, ball, hoop). The participants in the recreational program are grouped by skill level, and whenever possible, by age in addition to skill level and experience.

Upon completion of the recreational program, and the mastery of the basic, introductory skills and apparatus, the participant can choose to continue in the more relaxed competitive program (Xcel) or (by invitation only) move to the competitive Team program.

Recreational gymnasts will showcase what they learned in open classes, that the parents are encouraged to observe.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available to not only rhythmic gymnasts, but to ice dancers, figure skaters, ballerinas, dancers, cheerleaders, vaulters, fencers, artistic swimmers, etc. We customize the instruction based on individual needs and personal goals. Our coaches have many years of experience in helping athletes who participate in various sports outside of rhythmic gymnastics.  We can help with enhancing overall conditioning and flexibility, as well as work on specific areas of focus (i. e. over splits, back flexibility, ankle strengthening and flexibility, etc.). Our coaches also have experience working with athletes who are recovering after an injury, by helping them regain strength and flexibility (non-medical rehabilitation, not intended as a substitute for physician recommended physical therapy) so that they can get back to their chosen sport faster.

Private lessons in your home are also available, tuition rates for this vary, please contact us directly to inquire
